The Son of No One is a story of obligations and bloodshed coming to a head in police family. The film premiered at this year’s Sundance and stars Channing Tatum, Al Pacino, Katie Holmes, Ray Liotta, Juilette Binoche and Tracy Morgan. I should say that I’m a big fan of Channing Tatum, particularly when he plays roles set in modern times (read: The Eagle looked/sounded kind of ridiculous). Tatum was stellar in A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and when provided the right source material, the kid can really act. Paired with the same writer & director as Guide, I think this film will provide that in spades. The tone seems similar to movies like Cop Land, Mystic River and Narc, and I’m excited to see Pacino and Liotta on screen together. Take a look for yourself and let me know what you think.
