Most Gen Y kids know what I’m talking about… forums, chat rooms, MySpace, Facebook and every other known digital medium used to express an idea to the masses has become immensely popular in recent decades. So popular in fact, that there are even massive forums dedicated to denim, with numerous threads curating pictures of the best worn out raw denim in the English-speaking world.
I recently spent way longer than I’m willing to admit perusing a thread titled “The Evolution of Jeans: Pictures, Scones and Tea” on a popular denim forum over at Superfuture.com and was baffled at some of the products I saw. I mean, literally jaw dropped. I couldn’t even come close to viewing all 2,100 pages but some of the A.P.C, Nudie, Dior Homme and Evisu I saw were well worth the time spent.
I grabbed a few pictures for reference. For many of you this may not be entertaining, but threads like this serve as great examples of why we wear raw denim and how neat it is to have something go from dark and unwashed to completely faded to the contours of your own body.
